McGill's Division of Cancer Epidemiology has recently lauched a major trial study to test the effectiveness of a topical gel containing Carrageenan in preventing the transmission of the human papillomavirus (HPV). The study – called CATCH, an acronym for Carrageenan-gel Against Transmission of Cervical HPV – is currently seeking sexually-active female participants aged 18-29.
